๐ŸŽฏ Key Targets for Yuri (Recycle Focus)

1. Unvoiced TH (/ฮธ/) Mechanics

Keep the tongue tip lightly between your front teeth and blow air out. Do not vibrate your vocal cords. Practice: *"work through"*, *"threshold"*, *"throughput"*, *"Thursday"*.

2. Article Enforcement

Remember singular countable technical items need an article: *"the router"*, *"a firewall"*, *"the database"*. Don't drop them!

๐Ÿ“– Grammar: Simple vs. Continuous Contrast

Review the rules from English File page 135 below. Look at the difference between ongoing duration (continuous) and completed count/result (simple).

English File Grammar Rules

โš™๏ธ Standup Rule of Thumb:

  • Use Continuous when telling the team what you have been doing (in progress, focuses on time spent):
๐Ÿ‘‰ "I've been debugging the API since 10 AM."
  • Use Simple when telling the team how many items you completed (results):
๐Ÿ‘‰ "I've refactored two modules so far."
  • Warning: Don't use continuous with non-action verbs (know, possess, belong).
๐Ÿ‘‰ "I've known about the issue..." (Not: "I've been knowing...")
